Directed and performed review of former aluminum foundry assessments to evaluate delineation of metal, PAH, TPH and RCRA hazardous waste impacted areas. Submitted cost effective remedial alternatives to attorney client that would be protective of human health and the environment. Delineation and remediation alternative was accepted by consultant and reduced remedial costs and volume of excavated materials.Managed and performed numerous Phase II assessments that included drilling soil borings and constructing monitoring wells, collecting and analyzing soil and groundwater samples, interpreting data, and acting as a liaison between the client and the regulatory agency for retail service stations and industrial sites. Project Manager for preliminary remedial environmental site assessments and subsequent $1.7M remediation of 78-acre former refinery undergoing redevelopment for commercial property. Prepared and implemented comprehensive agency-approved remedial action work plans that included soil gas surveys, soil borings, groundwater analysis, excavation of hydrocarbon- and metal-impacted soil, installation of VEWs, bioventing, LNAPL recovery systems, and integration of a health-based risk assessment (HRA). Managed closure of land parcels and DTSC tank sites.Project Manager for $550K USACOE Abandonment of USTs at 44 Minuteman II missile stations. Oversaw completion of field activities and reports for in-place UST abandonment and removal/disposal of asbestos materials including closure.Negotiated modifications to CRWQCB waste discharge requirements that provided client a savings of $800K in transport and disposal costs for arsenic-impacted soil.Project Manager for O&M of a vacuum enhanced pumping system consisting of 131 dual-phase extraction wells that were selectively manifolded to a thermal/catalytic oxidizer. Implemented a well seal rehydration program to significantly increase the ROI of the wells. Also performed significant emergency and preventative maintenance of the system to reduce system down time and increase efficiency. Received $540K renewal of O&M contract based on prior performance.

Performed land survey analysis and map layout calculations for commercial and residential land development. Determined earthwork quantities for proposed grading plans. Activities included civil planning, earthwork calculation, and land surveying experience.

Texas

Managed the analysis of hydrocarbons in formation gases and drill cuttings during the drilling of more than 20 oil exploration wells in north central Texas. Responsible for direction of drilling personnel and preparation of reports reflecting the detection of hydrocarbons.
