The Home Economist is a business focused on helping homeowners convert their homes from units of consumption into units of production by using different means of lowering the consumption and increasing the production of a household. This is done through efficiency and conservation measures as well as implementing energy production strategies such as solar, wind or micro-hydro electric systems. With hundreds of installs under my belt, and a NABCEP Associate Certification, I can handle anything from a major battery backup system with a generator on a home all the way down to an RV that wants to have a few solar panels to power things while they go camping. One thing that differentiates me from other businesses that sell solar is that the homeowner is my top priority. That means that if there are lower cost solutions that can have a bigger impact to the home owner than some higher cost solutions, I make sure the homeowner knows that. I don't push to sell homeowners something they don't need.
