Technical Consultant – Managed Operations May 2014 – Dec 2014Remote support for (Windows 2003/08/12) servers, VSphere 5.x, Veeam Backup and Replication, Exchange, and Antivirus. Onsite support for VMware Vcenter Operations manager, VSphere 5.5, Windows operating systems and Cisco UCS servers. Production Corporate build of VSphere 5.5 VSAN environment. Production Corporate build of VMware Vcenter Operations Manager. Windows Servers upgrade project. Project consisted of upgrading 12 Windows 2003/2008 servers to 2008/2012 servers. This included Active Directory, File and Print, Remote desktop, Update and deployment, utility and application servers.

Onsite support for (Windows 2003/08/12) servers, (30 physical and 125+ virtual servers), and third level support for Windows 7 desktops. Primary responsibilities are: Windows Active Directory Domains, DNS, GPOs, VMware 5.0 (11 hosts), VMware Vcenter Operations Manager, CommVault Simpana backup, Sophos Corporate Antivirus, Netapp, Cisco ASA 5550, Exchange 2010, ADFS and Cisco Call Manager.  Design, upgrade and migration of VMware 4.0 environment to VMware 5.0.  Design and implemented VMware Vcenter Operations Manager. Upgrade and deployment of Sophos Antivirus 10.X.  Design and implemented Windows 2008 print server. Optimization of CommVault backups resulting in 65% decrease in data being backed up Upgrade of 70 CommVault Window and Linux agents.

Onsite and remote support for Window 2000/2003/2008 servers, Windows XP and Windows 7 desktops. Primary responsibilities are: four Windows 2000/2003/2008 Active Directories, DNS and DHCP servers. VMware 4.0 (9 host, 200+ VMs), VMware Lab manager, EMC Clariion (SAN), EMC Celerra (File System), Brocade fiber switches and cluster Exchange servers. Support for Mcafee EPO, third level support for desktop issues, login scripts, and Visual basic and powershell scripts.Migration of Windows 2003 cluster file servers to EMC Celerra.Migration of Windows 2003 application servers to EMC CelerraMigration of local anti-spam to cloud base MXLogic.Storage migration of 100+ VMs from a CX500 to CX4960.Migration and upgrade of VMware 3.5 environment to Vsphere 4.0. Designed and implemented test environment in VMware Lab Manager for Windows XP to Windows 7 upgrade. Onsite and remote support for Windows 2000/2003 servers and Windows 2000/XP desktops. Responsible for three Windows 2000 forests that include, Corporate Stores Active Directory infrastructure that currently consists of 140 domain controllers, Franchise Store AD currently in rollout with 140 servers, and Corporate AD. Support for Mcafee EPO and desktop virus software, Exchange 2000 account creation and security setup, DNS configuration and support. Group policies and Kix scripting for logon scripts. Third level support for local desktop issues. XP SP2 deployment to all corporate XP computers.Design and implemented Microsoft SUS patch management to 200 servers and 750 workstations.Remote support for deployment of 130 Windows 2000 Domain controller servers, and 500 windows 2000 registers over a 9 week period.Designed and standardize images used in Server and Register builds, resulting in faster build time and greater accuracy.Designed and implemented security policies for Corporate Point of sale environment.Designed and implemented IBM Director environment that allows for monitoring, remote control and management of Point of Sale servers and registers.
