Managing technical & logistics support issues for licensee Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries, Ltd. (IHI) and the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDAF) for the F-15 power plant. Resolved import / export issues between Mitsubishi Trading Co. and the Japanese Ministry of Trade (MITI) dealing with engine spares, repairs and proprietary issues.July 1998 - April 2000 Tokyo, JapanProgram Coordinator – Provided complete on-site coordination of F100 manufacturing by licensee IHI. Responsibilities included resolution of technical, production and obsolescence issues, spares, forecasting, logistical support, proprietary processes and license program liaison of a $20 Mil/Yr. + program. Interfaced with P&W Marketing, MHI, KHI, JASDF & Mitsubishi Trading Co. for engine selection of the C-2 indigenous transport aircraft.Sept. 1995 - June 1998 Team Leader – Turbojet Engine Test Systems and Support. I led an engineering team whose responsibilities included site surveys, proposal development, vendor selection, construction management, qualification and follow-on support to provide turn-key, jet engine test facilities for the F100 family of engines to foreign and domestic customers. Customers included USAF (CONUS & OCONUS), Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Singapore and Jordan. I personally ran the first F100-229 engine in Saudi Arabia & the first F100-220 engine in Jordan to qualify their test cells. -

Managed support of F100-220 & -229 Turbojet Engine Automated Component Test Stations located at the USAF depot in San Antonio, TX (SA-ALC). Work included vendor / customer coordination (Allied-Signal, Testek, Hamilton Standard, USAF), installation, checkout, training, production issues & follow-on support of multimillion dollar LAN based, automated test stations. All test stations were installed on time and within budget. Developed a consolidated Engineering Change approach which saved the USAF $2.7 Mil and I received a cost reduction award.Aprilm 1983 - June 1990 Senior Engineer – Complex Support Equipment. Participated in the development and field testing (@ Nellis AFB, NV.) of a $120 Mil. project to provide the USAF with the first automated testing and diagnostic system for military turbojet engines used on F-15 & F-16 fighter aircraft (AGETS). Later responsibilities included installation, checkout, training and support (site visits & 800-number help desk) of 65 systems located at various USAF locations worldwide and the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF).April 1979 - May 1983 Engineer – F100 Engineering. From entry level to progressively responsible positions in the Systems Performance and Advanced Controls Groups. Analyzed data relating to engine control system anomalies developed / executed test programs and recommended corrective actions on warranty F100 engines.
