• Develop prescribed fire plans for Eglin, Tyndall and Barksdale Air Force Base using federal interagency standards that manage fire applications, contingencies, and ignition sequences to safely meet natural resource.
• Direct and/or assist with ground and/or aviation mission assignments in the suppression, planning, preparation, and implementation of wildland fires at Eglin and Tyndall AFB
• Ensure fire management plans address contingencies for wildland fire by identifying tactics, strategies, and availability of resources through partnering agencies
• Direct US Forest Service and US Fish and Wildlife Service detailers in the application of prescribed fire on Department of Defense lands, adhering to Air Force polices, guidelines, and instructions
• Coordinate mobilization/de-mobilization and logistical support for detailers to sustain wildland fire operations, suppression tactics, preparedness levels, prevention activities, and training opportunities based on.
• Brief Tyndall and Barksdale Air Force Leadership on prescribed fire operational procedures, smoke management techniques, and mission de-confliction strategies
