As I step towards my 62st year, I look forward to a new chapter beyond my current role at Saint-Gobain. Reflecting on my career, I've been fortunate to work with Pira International, BPB, and Saint-Gobain, finding joy and fulfilment in my roles in the Paper Industry, and more latterly, the world of Gypsum Products.In the heartland of Research and Development, my focus has been on product and process development, culminating in leadership roles in R&D management. My expertise also extends to Knowledge Management and Intellectual Property, where I've concentrated on patent development and analysis. Perhaps the most interesting however is competitor analysis. This path has exposed me to a diverse range of methodologies and processes, enriching my professional palette.Data science has been a constant beacon in my career. With a PhD in Process Simulation, I was at the forefront of early intelligent automation and the initial wave of AI. I then pursued exploration into measurement technologies, especially Image Analysis and on-machine sensing.Currently, my passion lies in knowledge and information automation and the exciting potential of deploying Generative AI in R&D. These fields not only captivate my interest but also shape the future of how we approach innovation and development in our industry.As I embark on the next stage of my professional journey, I carry with me a wealth of experience, a curious mind, and an unwavering commitment to advance the fields I've grown to love.
