Keith Inglis is Head of Infrastructure Services with Highlands and Islands Airports (HIAL).Prior to joining HIAL, Keith graduated from Strathclyde University with a BEng in Civil Engineering in 1998, subsequently joining James Jones & Sons Ltd, Timber Systems Division as a Support Engineer. This position provided him with practical knowledge and experience in structural design and detailing. Often working closely with clients to find cost effective and pragmatic design solutions. In February 2008 Keith obtained a Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management from the Institute of Line Management to further develop his range of management skills and developed a team of design technicians while fulfilling the role of Design Office Manager. In February 2008 Keith joined the Inverness office of AECOM (formerly Scott Wilson and URS). Since then he was appointed as the Design Engineer and Site Supervisor for the resurfacing of the main runways at Stornoway and Kirkwall Airports and he was also the Design Engineer for resurfacing the secondary runway at Sumburgh Airport. A two year site based posting working as part of the Engineers Representative Team on the A96 Mosstodloch and Fochabers Bypass provided Keith with further practical knowledge and experience of highways and highway structures.Keith joined HIAL in February 2015 as Head of Infrastructure and manages the complete range of activities undertaken by the Infrastructure Services department, covering 11 airports across the North and West of Scotland.
