Manage the Engineering effort for strategic accounts through the entire design, procurement, implementation, testing, and training phases on complex telecommunications and physical security projects. These projects involve numerous technologies including the use of fiber optic (Ethernet, SONET, and DWDM) and wireless communication technologies over both a short haul and long haul networks, as well as Access Control, Video Surveillance, Analytics, and various perimeter protection and detection technologies, along with the integration into higher level PSIM solutions.

I managed the engineering team in developing strategic solutions in the communications, security, intelligent transportation, and wireless sectors. Refining Adesta’s (G4S Technology) processes and procedures to efficiently, effectively, and accurately estimate costs for proposed solutions. Review solutions to ensure all tasks and costs are accounted for to complete the integration of a proposed solution, and properly documented in our written response. High profile proposesd solutions included a fiber network along I-91 for Intelligent Transportation in Massachusettes, proposed video (IP and analog) and access control solutions in a number of sea ports, including both wireless and fiber in the backbone network, an approximately 800 cable mile fiber optic network along the southside of Virgina, using Ethernet over a OC-192 SONET network, a fiber optic network in the western Nebraska providing 1Gig and 10 Gig connectivity between 10 Hospitals and 20+ clinics, an approximately 1,000 cable mile fiber network in western Massachusettes involving DWDM and Gigabit Ethernet to nearly 1,400 end-points.

I was responsible for leading the development and estimate of multi-platform communication business plans surrounding fixed and wireless communication and CCTV security networks. Researched, investigated, and analyzed state-of-the-art, cutting-edge technologies and platforms for voice, video and data communication and as well as physical security systems. Designed and developed detailed engineering in response to Request For Proposals (RFP's) for highly sophisticated access control and video detection systems capable of identifying and tracking unusual motion within secured areas.

I was responsible for leading the development and estimating of multi-platform communication business plans surrounding 3G and 4G wireless networks. Researched, investigated, and analyzed state-of-the-art, cutting-edge technologies and platforms for communication systems including terrestrial, airship, and satellite technologies. Lead the requirements drive for an airship communications platform capable of supporting sophisticated military and commercial applications and infrastructure.

I managed the project team in developing proposal solutions and leading strategic business development projects. Researched, analyzed and developed community-wide Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) cost models and business solutions providing a wide array of voice, video and data services to residential as well as business customers, including network plant, operations center, central office and all related ancillary systems. In additon, I was responsible for managing a team of System Engineers in the development of proposed solutions in response to RFP's along with all written responses and pricing for all inside plant material and labor. The labor included installation as well as estimating the Engineering effort necessary to complete the job. As the Engineering Manager I worked closely with our Estimating team to ensure costs were correct, as well as devlop the proposed project schedule. In addition, I visited a number of customer sites presenting our soluitons. Solutions included both fiber based and licensed wireless based networks.

I worked on a variety of proposal opportunities, developing the network solutions being proposed. These solutions included all forms of communications using fiber and wireless networks, including Ethernet, ATM, SONET, FDDI, etc. I was heavily involved in developing the initial design for each opportunity as well as developing written descriptions and price estimates for material and labor. Project included developing a fiber solution deployed along the pipeline in Alaska, to designing a fiber network along the New York State Thruway Authorities right-a-way, extending from downtown New York City to downtown Cleveland. Other high profile projects include, a multi-hop licensed wireless network for the Illinois State Tollway Authority, a multi-hop licensed wireless network for the Connecticut State Police, a proposed network for the State of Utah, and the State of Colorado to help reduce their telecommunication costs.

I worked in another field office starting the design work for a fiber optic network for Commonwealth Edison, the power provider in northern Illinois. The network was an approximately 500 cable mile fiber network stretching from downtown Chicago to the Quad cities, and created two OC-12 rings providing TDM service to the power company. Most of the fiber used an aerial installation, and a dual hub configuration of the network. The main hub was in downtown Chicago with a backup hub in Joliet. I worked as a temporary Engineer for the company on thedesign until a full staff was in place.

Worked in one of the field offices, on the Iowa Communicaitons Network, in the deployment of the Part I and Part II sites. This consisted of a fiber optic network spaning the state of Iowa with approximately 3,000 cables miles of optical fiber connecting 142 sites back to the main hub. This was designed as a SONET OC-48 network backbone (Part I) with OC-12 extending the backbone to the remaining sites (Part II). The network connected 16 Part I sites with the additonl of the three main Universities and State buildings. The Part II sites consisted of the Public Television sites throughout the state, along with at least one site in every county across the state. This network at the time of construction was the worlds largest government owned distance learning network. Almost every student in the state of Iowa was within 15 miles of a distance learning classroom. This allowed students to take classes from anywhere within the state.

I supervised the provisioning of both Domestic and International switched and special access circuits, as well as directly interfaced with sales to maintain accurate customer activation schedules. My team worked to develop a facilities tracking database to maintain, and track switch facilities and network backbone infrastructure. We identified circuit type based on customer requirements as well as working with the Provisioning Coordianators and Switch Technicians to make proper assignments. We were also responsible for managing and maintaining switch port assignments and network capacity. In managing the network configurations, we spent many hours working with the Switch Technicians as well as the telco's to verify network capacity, and assignments, and linked them with the proper customers and purchase orders.

I worked as a Provisioning Engineer configuring and assigning network circuits over a telecommunications network. Circuit design included DS1, DS3, along with private line and Feature Group circuits. I also was involved highly involved with traffic engineering, and ensuring network capacity to meet network demands. I helped develop a databased to maintain all network and switch records, and improved its accuracy to near 100%.
