Design and implement solutions to help manage and distribute about half a petabyte of USGS spatial data, including multiple orthoimagery products, elevation data, digital maps, land cover and other raster and vector data. Projects range from simply publishing data as a web mapping services, to designing, building and maintaining a system to standardize, manage, and deliver all the High-Resolution Orthoimagery holdings of the USGS/EROS Spatial Data Warehouse.

Worked with a team of civilian engineers performing enhancements and maintenance on advanced electronic warfare (EW) simulation and modeling systems. Created a voice radio communications simulator to interface with the simulation for use during Air Force and joint service training exercises. Operated and maintained UNIX systems running simulation software for EW training for military pilots. Performed unit liaison duties at exercises and planning conferences, which included briefing international audiences on software modeling capabilities. I also supervised, trained, mentored five programmers in both general military and technical skills. -Tracked and inventoried over $1.2 million in computer equipment. Maintained and keyed cryptographic equipment.

Supervised maintenance of avionics systems on a squadron of 28 F-15C fighter aircraft. Daily duties included: prioritizing jobs, dispatching personnel, validating work and tracking the status of 17 technicians. Personally oversaw a time-sensitive systems upgrade to three fighter squadron's aircraft, which involved changing parts, wiring harnesses, testing and documenting each job. I also troubleshot, tested, and replaced aircraft electronics/avionics components and wiring on a daily basis as needed. All work was logged and entered into a database system for maintenance tracking. These same duties were also performed while on deployment (two tours) to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, as well as several joint service exercises, training deployments, and operational readiness exercises.

Acted as interim training manager for a 300-person technical support call center; directed daily training and operations for staff of five. Planned and performed the initial technical training for the same call center; led new-hire classes for the first 120 technicians; trained and certified other trainers to lead remaining classes.Selected to a team from across all call centers to perform a complete rewrite of the new-hire technical training course. Developed curriculum and delivered new product training; set up and managed hands-on training lab; conducted special training sessions for senior techs.Pioneered new program that eased the new-hire's transition from the classroom to live customer calls.

Performed dual duty: field technician providing on-site PC and network troubleshooting for local business and government clients, and purchasing agent skillfully handling all IT purchases for sales staff of four. Daily work included communication with customers, sales reps, and vendors to obtain best prices and delivery options from suppliers for multi-million dollar client accounts. Also maintained in-house computer training lab.
