Started this position when my previous employer, AEP River Ops, was acquired by ACBL. Responsible for boat maintenance, barge maintenance and tankering services for liquid barges. Demonstrated significant general management and leadership skills leading a team of subject matter experts from both companies. Worked with them to create Capex and Opex annual budgets for 140 towboats and 3600 barges. Also helped lead a team of vessel engineers. Led group to apply for and win two awards in the 2019 TX Emissions Reduction Incentive Grant Program, totaling $3.7 million, toward the cost of replacing two towboats in the Houston area. Left position to start up 3D Measurement Services putting together my previous experience with ranging sensors and my engineering experience and and general management background.

Led our family-owned 130 person river towing company in Paducah, KY, operating 8 towboats. B&H Towing was acquired by AEP River Operations in January of 2008.

Worked for 15.5 years at Caterpillar Inc. Most of my positions were in the development of control and autonomous systems and information-based displays. Also spent 2 years in the production electronics group during this time period. Obtained PhD while working as a Caterpillar liaison at Carnegie Mellon. My last position was the Program Manager of Machine Automation.

Developed planetary rover prototypes.
