Keith A. LogsdonBiographyA registered architect in Michigan for more than 25 years, Keith earned his degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. Keith is currently a principal with Michael Willoughby & Associates – Architects in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where he has been since 1995. In addition to his diverse experience with various project types from high-end custom residences to restaurants, retail and offices, he is responsible for marketing the firm’s services and for overseeing staff assignments and the day-to-day progress of the projects in the office. Previously, Keith was an Associate at CBI Design Professionals for over seven years and a Designer with Giffels/Hoyem-Basso, Giffels Associates and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan. His work has been recognized with numerous design awards and publication both locally and nationally and he has developed a reputation that consistently generates referrals and satisfied clients.Keith currently serves his community as a Trustee for the Berkley Downtown Development Authority, a board which he chaired from 2003 through 2006. He is also a member of the Lawrence Technological University Architecture Alumni Cabinet, which he joined in 2007, and served as President in 2008/2009.

After extensive interviews with five candidates and lengthy discussion by the current School Board, Mr. Logsdon was selected as the new School Board Trustee at the July 2015 Board of Education Special Meeting. Mr. Logsdon is an architect and a 15-year resident of Berkley. He has been active in the School District, involved on many committees including the Vision 2020 strategic plan and on the interview teams for hiring both the District’s architect and construction management firms for the 2015 Bond Initiative. Mr. Logsdon has one child who graduated from Berkley High with the class of 2015 and another child in the District.Mary Jo Israel, School Board President, said, “The Board is pleased to welcome Keith to the Board of Education. His background as an architect and his commitment to the Berkley School District will certainly be an asset to the Board and the Berkley Schools.”Keith Logsdon said, “I am honored to have been selected as a Trustee of the Berkley School candlewickshoppeADblueBoard from amongst a highly qualified group of candidates. I look forward to working with such a talented and dedicated Board and administration for the benefit of the District.”The Board position became vacant with the passing of Trustee Paul Ellison on June 24, 2015, following his courageous battle with cancer.Mr. Logsdon will serve until December 31, 2016, and will have the option to run in the next general election in November 2016.
