Functioned as the Senior medical provider for an Army Combat Team of over 4500 soldiers & officers. Acted as medical consultant to the commander in the absence of the brigade surgeon. Performed clinical operations at the troop medical clinic in garrison for authorized patients. Taking care of acute and chronic conditions while performing routine and preventative care to all soldiers and dependents on post with immunizations, medical screenings, health physicals and community health intiatives.Supervised training and coordination of efforts for fourteen medical providers; including doctors, physician assistants and nursing personnel. Furthermore, was able to provide oversight and medical training for almost 300 enlisted medical soldiers within the brigade. Assisted with modifying and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in the BDE. Acted as liaison between brigade leadership and management at the hospital to ensure compliance with MEDCOM guidance and FORSCOM requirements. This includes credentialing committee, PEER –review process, infection control, and other functions through the Deputy Chief of Clinical Services (DCCS) office at the hospital. Furthermore, served as the president of the board for the annual Expert Field Medical Badge training and testing opportunity where almost two hundred candidates were subjected to various tasks and events in pursuit of this badge.

Sole Medical Provider (organic), of the 47th Combat Support Hospital. Responsible to provide medical coverage during operations that include medical care, routine medication prescribing, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as well as emergency interventions and care for all patients arriving at the Emergency Medical Treatment section as well as organic members of the unit. Further responsible for training, supervising and administrative duties for the section members. Functions as part of the team to stabilize and care for patients prior to transferring to other providers for definitive care.

Emergency Medicine Mid-Level Provider working in conjunction with the other staff to treat the medical needs of the Fort Leonard Wood and surrounding area. Assess and treating patients, arranging for transfer to other facilities in the state as required for best care of the patients.

18 months assigned for a formal training fellowship in Emergency Medicine.Rotations in Pediatric Trauma, Level 1 Trauma Center, ICU, Cardiology, Remote/Wilderness Medicine, and 8 months of formal Emergency Room training. Additional exposure to Trauma Radiology, ultrasound, ENT/OMFS, and formal clinical research as required for the Doctorate awarded at the end of the program.
