Functioned as the Senior medical provider for an Army Combat Team of over 4500 soldiers & officers. Acted as medical consultant to the commander in the absence of the brigade surgeon. Performed clinical operations at the troop medical clinic in garrison for authorized patients. Taking care of acute and chronic conditions while performing routine and preventative care to all soldiers and dependents on post with immunizations, medical screenings, health physicals and community health intiatives.Supervised training and coordination of efforts for fourteen medical providers; including doctors, physician assistants and nursing personnel. Furthermore, was able to provide oversight and medical training for almost 300 enlisted medical soldiers within the brigade. Assisted with modifying and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in the BDE. Acted as liaison between brigade leadership and management at the hospital to ensure compliance with MEDCOM guidance and FORSCOM requirements. This includes credentialing committee, PEER –review process, infection control, and other functions through the Deputy Chief of Clinical Services (DCCS) office at the hospital. Furthermore, served as the president of the board for the annual Expert Field Medical Badge training and testing opportunity where almost two hundred candidates were subjected to various tasks and events in pursuit of this badge.
