Keith MacLeod held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Sproule and its subsidiaries, until his retirement on June 30, 2014. His Canadian, US and international experience at Sproule was primarily in the areas of reservoir engineering, oil and gas reserves/resource evaluations, acquisitions and divestitures; securities commission reports, expert witness testimony, investment advice and education. He held senior positions in Sproule's Canadian, US and international business subsidiaries. Keith was a member of the ASC industry taskforce formed in 1998, whose recommendations on oil and gas disclosure for publicly traded companies in Canada formed the framework for National Instrument 51-101 introduced in 2003. He was also one of the authors involved in the preparation of the Calgary Section of SPEE's best practice guidelines contained in the Canadian Oil and Gas Evaluation Handbook.He is active with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) having served as the Canadian Regional Director on the international board as well as chair of the Canadian Section. He is also a registered professional engineer with APEGA and a member of the Society Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. Keith was recognized as a Distinguished Member in 2020 by the SPE. He earned a Diploma in Technology in Mineral Science from the College of Cape Breton, now Cape Breton University. He earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) Engineering from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology, Butte, Montana. Keith has completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program.Keith is currently on the board of directors for a number of oil and gas / technology companies, government agency, university research centre and a not-for-profit organization; - Lead Independent Director of Paramount Resources Ltd. and is a Board Member of Prairie Storm Resources Corp. - Chairperson of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board - Chairperson of the Verschuren Centre for Sustainability in Energy and the Environment, Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia
