About Keith Macrae
I was born and brought up in Ballater, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and was educated there, at Banchory Academy and Aberdeen University. I joined the Aberdeen law firm of Mackinnons in 1980 and have been Partner there since 1983. From an early stage in my career I have specialised in Maritime Law and marine insurance, dealing with a number of major casualty cases involving offshore support vessesl, fishinh vesels and other ships. Away from work, I am a lifelong supporter of Aberdeen FC and played amateur football myself for many years. I am passionate about music, jazz and rock in particular, and I play bass in the Aberdeen blues and rock band No Hot Ashes. I am also a Director of Jazz Scotland.I am married with three daughters and live in the coastal village of Catterline, 20 miles south of Aberdeen.
