Senior Data Analyst
My role here involves building reporting and delivering actionable insights to the Samsung Home account team (consisting of internal, but mainly external stakeholders). I achieve this by reviewing all data produced and then being a conduit between the Activation Teams (i.e., Search, Display, CRM, and Social Teams), the Planning Team and the Trafficking Team, with regards to any findings or insights found whilst analysing their data. With regards to reporting deliverables, this can take the form of Post Campaign Analysis Reporting (in PPT format typically), as well as adhoc reporting (usually in the form of either Excel or Tableau reporting). I then compile all the necessary data from all the various sources (typically via data warehoused in Google Big Query, but generated via DoubleClick tracking, or directly from the various platforms like Facebook, AdWords etc…) and compile the reports with assistance from the Activation teams where necessary. My role then involves me acting as the technical / analytics lead whenever presenting to clients.
Senior Data Analyst
My role here mainly involves the managing of client’s campaigns and advertising performances, from start to finish. This includes liaising with new and existing clients to ascertain their Metrics Tracking and Tagging requirements, with particular focus on the more advanced tracking requirements (like liaising directly with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) providers to ensure what we build and supply, is correct and following up with rigorous Q&A processes to ensure all is working as expected.In addition, I also build and supply reporting and analysis whether using BI Tools (primarily Tableau Prep and Desktop) or more traditional means (such as MS Office suite tools). I have also been the key lead in Quarterly Business Reviews and End of Campaign meetings giving these findings to external client stakeholders too, in addition to hosting training sessions on all the various Radancy products we offer.My role here also came with the managerial responsibilities of looking after two Data Analysts, this has not only been for oversight of their work but also to act as a mentor for them to ensure they’re developing and growing in their skills too.
Media Manager - Media Management And Planning
My role here primarily involves maintaining and continuing to innovate the Campaign Management offering. I've been heavily involved in creating reporting models and dashboards to aid internal and external stakeholders to make informed decisions on media performance and direction. My role also involves liaising with clients directly, in regards to giving the benefits and opportunities afforded to taking up Campaign Management too. This could involve setting up and delivering presentations face-to-face, or conference calls where this isn't practical (such as for international clients).
Campaign Data Analyst
In my time at Pink Squid, I was initially tasked with building a robust Campaign Management offering that was scalable and ready to go out to market with within 3 months. This involved liaising with and ultimately choosing which ad-server was adopted and, from that, creating the reporting model which was easily understandable by clients both internally and externally. This was achieved both on time and on budget.In addition to working on Campaign Management, I also worked heavily on Google Adwords campaign set-ups (from keyword generation, to targeting and scheduling), Real-Time Bidding technologies (again, ranging from initial set-up, to regional targeting) and was involved with many tasks relating to website optimisation. Moreover, my role often put me in direct contact with external clients to discuss both website and campaign performances and to make recommendations on not only the next steps within a campaign, but also to contact and seek optimisation from media sources. As well as this, I was responsible for the performance of aforementioned Adwords and RTB campaigns, which afforded me the opportunity to make live adjustments to both systems in order to produce the strongest ROI possible.Finally, the role here allowed me to briefly touch on Social Media CM; which aided me in beginning to develop a social media reporting methodology.
Campaign Analyst
In this role, I was responsible for the performance, maintenance and analysis of several client's online campaigns. The majority of these ran through DFA, which involved trafficking out JavaScript and constant liaising with various large media websites. As well as this, my role here also involved creating tags to place on the website to enable tracking candidate's movements throughout the website.
Media Insight Data Analyst
As a member of the Data Solutions team (comprising of the MI analysts and Campaign Management), I am responsible for analysing the success of online advertising campaigns on behalf of the agency’s clients. This information is supplied in the form of Atlas or Google reports which are then imported into Excel. From there, I pivot the raw data and present the result to the client in the form of a dashboard. As well as this, I am also responsible for checking and proof - reading all of the dashboards and end of campaign reports that leave the office destined for clients. I also take care of the workload schedule for the Data solutions team. Campaigns I analyse range from £3,000 up to and in excess of £50,000 of online media spend.
Duty Manager
I was promoted to this position in July 2007. As such, keeping all of the paperwork relating to safe operations and rota schedules up to date and in order was one of my highest priorities, as mistakes in either matter would have cost the company thousands of pounds. As well as this, liaising with customers on a daily basis was one of the main stays of my position and, with the store and district managers, to give reports on the figures and how the store is reaching the targets set.
