Currently based in UK but with close connections to Brazil as I have a Brazilian wife (we managed, due to unfortunate timing of flights, to get locked down in different countries for nine months, but she`s here now!) So I am interested in building environmental links UK to Brazil....get in touch. I am currently Chair of the Green Liberal Democrats - the `Environmental Conscience` of the Liberal Democrats n UK. So my key interests are: - Climate Change mitigation/adaptation: Sustainable Development Issues: Doughnut Economics: Environmental Management Systems: Corporate Social Responsibility: Social Enterprise.I was the founding Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development in Business at Nottingham Trent University in 1998 [one of the first University Depts in UK to gain ISO 14001 EMS] I retired from there in 2006 to complete writing my historical novel "Captain Cobbler: the Lincolnshire Rebellion 1536" - reviewed as a "...thumpingly good debut novel" by the HNS.Vice chair of Trustees for charity: "Studentforce for Sustainability" 1997-2001; the charity placed students around the UK in companies seeking to upgrade their sustainable competencies. overlapping with that I was Chair of the Social Enterprise Development Group (2000-2005): an initiative within the East Midlands Development Agency, bringing together a number of Social enterprises supported by EMDA and EU funding. Also the East Midlands representative on the DTI Environmental Business Support Group. This National Advisory Group was established by the Department of Trade and Industry and also administered by DTI staff.Environmental Business Adviser - Lincolnshire Business School. (Oct 1995-Oct 1995). Seconded from Nottingham Trent University for three days per week to Lincolnshire TEC, who were partnering NTU in developing the new University of Lincoln. Developed a draft strategy for a new Green Business Centre which succeeded in winning a £1million SRB bid from the Government.
