Position reports directly to COO of Petco. Responsible for driving financial and operational performance across all Petco’s U.S. distribution centers. Oversee, guide and support workers engaged industrial engineering activities and in distribution center operations through subordinate distribution center general managers and operations managers.Develop long-term, distribution center plans, objectives, financial goals and budget. Leads the research, evaluation, design, development and implementation of distribution center operations policies, procedures, guidelines, methods, techniques, performance standards and emergency plans. The VP of Fulfillment & Transportation is responsible for leading and delivering world-class expense and service results from 9 regional fulfillment centers, 2 Retail DC’s and 16 Staples Private Fleet locations. Responsible for distribution/fulfillment centers in California, Oregon, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Arizona representing over 42% of the total U.S. volume. Responsible for all aspects of the fulfillment of customer orders (next day delivery) and Retail store replenishment within the Western and Central U.S.. This position manages a diverse work force in both limited and highly automated environments. Responsible for full P&L, Quality KPI's, Associate relations, Final Mile delivery and the execution of continuous improvement initiatives that requires working with various lines of business and departments within the home office. This position reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

The RVP of Fulfillment & Transportation is responsible for leading and delivering world-class expense and service results from regional fulfillment centers and Staples Delivery Operations. Responsible for a number of distribution/fulfillment centers in Western Canada (Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver) and additional facilities in Ontario, CA (500,000 and 250,000 sq. ft.) Portland, OR (300,000 sq. ft.), Stockton, CA (400,000 sq. ft.), Phoenix, AZ (300,000 sq. ft.) and 18 transportation operations in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. Responsible for all aspects of the fulfillment of customer orders within a multi-state region. This position manages a diverse work force of approximately 1500-2000 non-union associates and 400 delivery trucks in both limited and highly automated environments. Responsible for the execution of continuous improvement initiatives that requires working with various lines of business and departments within the home office. This position reports to the Vice President of Fulfillment and Delivery at headquarters in MA

Responsible for planning, developing and executing the requirements associated with operating a 500,000-square foot warehouse. This role will be responsible for attracting and developing talent with diverse capabilities. Development includes both management and hourly work forces with emphasis on organizational development, talent management, and leadership training. Also, he/she will be the leader of making their operations a “Great Place to Work” and the employer of choice in that market. Creating an atmosphere of open communications that supports Staples Team CARE values is critical to achieving our “Great Place to Work” goal. Responsible for several teams of workers to do the fast-paced work required running Target’s automated Distribution Center as productively as possible. In addition to direct supervision of my teams, I worked to improve Target’s production systems, forge great relationships with our vendors and internal clients and confer with other Senior Group Leaders to remove any barriers to the facility’s success. I work with my team members, DC Group Leaders, Marketing, Merchandise Planning, IS, Store Operations and vendors to drive store In-stocks to 97% or above. Completed first year of operation 10.2% above budget and 2006 fiscal year was at +19% to budget.

Senior Group Leader, 9/2000-3/2004- Sacramento, CAResponsible for several teams of workers to do the fast-paced work required running Target’s automated Distribution Center as productively as possible. Responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse, including operations and MIS. Also, responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling of all office and warehouse responsibilities.
