A challenging role in a market sector that is as fast paced as it is diverse. My remit is to develop the retail division of the business and to ensure our services are aligned with the way in which the market operates. Retail is relatively new to me so I am taking the opportunity to educate myself by learning from experts that have served in the industry for years. This means listening to Design Agencies, Retailers, Manufacturers, Software Developers as well as consulting with Fixture Manufacturers and Merchandising Experts. Since I took on this role I have been lucky enough to be involved on projects on both sides of the Atlantic. I have worked with some amazingly clever people and had the opportunity to collaborate early on in projects which has helped ensure all parties worked together to create a fantastic, amazing and engaging experience for the consumer.

I began my audio visual career at Audio Visual Machines (now AVMI)in late February 2003. The owner back then was Paddy O'Brien. in late 2004 there was a MBO; Paddy departed and I remained. Step forward 10 years...after being actively involved in the growth from about 30 people to nearly 400+, I returned to my roots at Pixel Projects to bring my experience to bear. Although an accomplished sales professional, I soon discovered that it was my understanding of business processes within a growing company that were most valuable to Pixel - certainly this was true at the time. My remit was to develop and implement processes and procedures through the different departments in readiness for the global expansion that was about to happen. This involved the implementation of a cloud based CRM system; the implementation and adoption of an improved pricing mechanism; restructuring the way electronic documents are stored; updating many of the standard documents and more....

Reporting to the Managing Director I was responsible for looking after a long established client base predominantly in the Legal Market Sector. It was during this period that I began to flourish and regularly achieved the highest grossing sales figures in the company. I was responsible for a team of Account Managers and Sales Administrators with a collective target of £25 million of revenue per annum. My responsibilities included recruitment, strategy planning, forecasting, efficiency improvements and reporting.

Following some fantastic success shortly after joining AVM from a completely different industry, I was promoted to Sales Manager and began recruiting a sales team. I was set a sales target which was exceeded year on year. In 2007 I was voted Employee of the Year for outstanding sales performances. The Technical Director at the time said " AVM would be a very different place without you" which (for those that knew the Technical Director) was one hell of a compliment. Just before my next career move which would see me elevated to Account Director, I had built a happy and high performing sales team. My management style was highly scaleable which would benefit the Company and me in my next role. In further recognition of my commitment to the company, I was issued with shares.

South West London

Apprentice Mechanical and Production Engineer for the NHS. I spent the first year at a training centre in Waddon near Croydon. One day a week I attended Croydon College. I did this for 4 years during which time I won the accolade of Trainee of the year for South East England. I spent 3 months at a time working at various hospitals within the Southern Area Health Authority. One of these 3 month stints was at the HQ in Paddington where I had the honour of working in the drawing design office.
