I am a director of my own limited company. I am essentially self employed, but I am still employed by my own company. My business is a PA company, which aims to provide the sound for a variety of types of events. It does this with the ability to multi-track record and remix any events that it services. I am the engineer of this company and have enough experience to independently engineer an event, so that it is pleasurably audible for the audience and the clients. The company has its own equipment available to it, including a 3kW JBL system, digital 24 channel PreSonus mixing desk and a multitude of microphones.

I shadowed many of the engineers at the production company, whilst they mixed and edited radio shows produced for the likes of BBC Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4. I was also made to record a solo musician for a Podcast.I was then temporarily hired for 3 weeks to attend a live broadcast to operate the sound board for the FoxyTV internet TV and Radio stations.This was an unpaid internship, (weekly travel expenses were covered).

The Marlowe Theatre was being re-built and needed technicians to help build it and launch the theatre for commercial use. With a team, I installed the lighting equipment, sound equipment and many other integral parts of the theatre.
