I began my career with Digital as an Electromechanical Inspector I and spent the next two years(84-86) learning all of the equipment and parts as I moved through Inspector II to Inspector III. I was then promoted to Production Scheduler I and began working with Production Control and Customer Service scheduling all of the production floor and both the incoming and outgoing inspections areas as I progressed over a six year (86-92) period through Scheduler II to Production Planner III. I then took all of my knowledge I had amassed and became the Sr. (1st Shift) Production Supervisor of all of the Test and Inspection areas (92-95) until we closed the functions we were providing and I moved on to the Wafer Fabs in Hudson, Ma. Wafer Fabrication as an Operations Manager - Worked in three different Fabs covering most areas of both the “Front end” and “Back end” of the overall Fab operations.• Supervising up to 35 Process, Equipment & Manufacturing Technicians in above listed areas within a clean room environment (Class 10, 100 & 1,000). • Owner of daily Safety, Quality, PM & Productivity execution, Cycle Counting, Planning and accountability reporting for shift.• Training to POR (Plan of Record), career development (equipment vendors training allocation/planning), performance & salary management, discipline & discharge for shift personnel.• Internal & external ISO area representative for backend business operations.• 7-Step (Problem solving), ATAC (Accelerated Tool Action), Five “Whys”, Module Teams, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, On-Shift Team & SLAS (Safety Line Audit System) leadership, instruction and coaching.• Shift Safety Officer, Safety Team Leader & Instructor.• Recruitment of technicians for both the Fab and Sort areas of operation utilizing Behavioral Interviewing methodology. This included both internal phone activities as well as traveling on recruiting trips. • Intel University certified in the instruction of both the Fab and Sort areas.
