I lead a team of 4 who manage the server, desktop, storage, software and applications delivered to approximately 5000 health care employees in the local area. I designed and implemented the architecture used in the Virtual Desktop and Virtual Server Infrastructures, including HPE hardware, VMWare ESXi, Citrix XenDesktop, UniPrint and DELL Thin Clients. When designing these environments, I focused on flexibility, long term growth and ease of support. I also am involved in the support and maintenance of all hardware and software involved in the above solutions, including the Virtual Servers delivering applications to the staff. I acted as project manager on many of the initiatives our team implements, including allocated projects to team resources, determining timelines and adjusted resource allocation as necessary. This required me to quickly understand and adapt to new technologies.I am also heavily involved in provincial initiatives to develop provincial standards and architecture for the delivery of different technologies, such as Virtual Desktops, Print Management, Single SignOn, Tap'N'Go, to be used by approximately 40,000 staff. This involves migrating from different technologies currently in place to the new standard.

I was responsible for leading a global team of 12 and developing a 24/7/365 enterprise level support structure after the startup (Kashya) was purchased by EMC Corporation. I developed processes and close relationships with multiple departments within EMC, such as L1/L2 Support, Sales, Marketing, QA, Technical Writers and Development as well as directly with enterprise customers. I adjusted resources based on constantly changing prioritiesI designed business continuity solutions for many complex enterprise customers and used these opportunities to help grow my team's knowledge and experience.After my 2 year agreement was up, I decided to return to Canada after 9 years instead of continuing in the position, so I could take a few years off and reconnect with family before continuing my career.

After 2 years, I moved to Microsoft cluster certifications and soon after started testing advanced technological solutions, such as data replication and PC on PCI card.
