The Medical Readiness Command, East will provide regionally ready, globally responsive medical forces, health service support, and force health protection to conserve the fighting strength, enable the readiness and health of the Army and designated activities, and integrate and liaise at echelon for the provision of health service support and force health protection to the Total Army. It will also provide command and control to medical department activities, medical centers, Dental Health Command, Public Health Commands, and Soldier Recovery Units.

Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. DHA PH's work combines and integrates the efforts of the Army, Navy, and Air Force to enable a healthy ready Force that includes our military community. It is DHA PH's goal to ensure force health protection to establish common, quality, health practices across the DOD.Reserve Health Readiness Program is the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, program that provides Individual Medical Readiness (IMR), Dental Readiness, and deployment services to Active Duty and Reserve service members geographically remote from military treatment facilities. RHRP provides remote individual medical readiness for DOD service members beyond those available through military treatment facilities and organic capabilities.

We are a robust primary care center that offer the following services: Family Practice, Pediatrics, Immunizations, OB/GYN, Physical Therapy, Behavioral Health, Family Advocacy, Audiology, Community Health, Educational and Developmental Intervention Services, Birthing, Lab, Radiology, Ultrasound, Mammography and formerly Same Day Surgery services

The mission of the JTS is to improve trauma care delivery and patient outcomes across the continuum of care utilizing continuous performance improvement and evidence-based medicine driven by the concurrent collection and analysis of data maintained in the DoD Trauma Registry.

Each year the Army selects a number of majors and lieutenant colonels to work at Arroyo as visiting analysts in the Army Fellows Program. This program affords officers the opportunity to increase their analytical capabilities through participation on Arroyo studies addressing critical policy issues faced by the Army. In turn, their participation enhances Arroyo staff’s understanding of current Army policies. The one-year fellowship is followed by a three-year utilization assignment on a senior-level Army or Joint staff.

The Field Assistance in Science and Technology (FAST) Activity was initiated in 1985 to bring Army Materiel Command Laboratories and Research, Development and Engineering Centers (RDECs) into closer contact with their "customers" — the major Army commands throughout the world — and thereby provide the Army in the field with greater support and responsiveness to operational needs.
