I have worked hard from the bottom up .My experience started from Childhood working Saturday's for a penny per part in 1979 @ 12 years old running an automatic bar-feed Saw on Saturday's giving me a good base start learning how to use a measuring tape and calipers learning how straightness and parallel matters. In my High School years working weekends running C-N-C machining centers. I took in so much information and watched as my mentor that would do programming and set ups, as I wanted to learn more. As I did I started setting up the machine and writing programs pretty soon and did not need a programmer or a set up man to get me going but the experience and the knowledge is what I wanted. As I worked harder there was still another type of field that I was really ready to learn. Welding and Fabricating as you can fix many thing with a weld, or you can be very creative and it also sharpens your engineering skills as to how ridged you can build a component or just a simple hoist, or fixtures for holding components in a machine .I then went to Southwestern Michigan college to learn welding and Fabricating, and excelled with my welding mentor learning how to weld a verity of Steels and alloys stainless steel and Aluminum & cast Irons and ductile Irons . But there was something still missing I felt. So I transferred out onto the C-N-C Milling machines Learning how to program and set up witch I have did for the lathe but the milling was another challenge for me. Learning how to process different types of components and meet delivery’s for the components that you made, Learning how long a cycle time of drill or a tap, drilling holes at angles intersecting holes ,it was hard work and I felt there was still something missing .I then got promoted to sales using all of my skills to quote jobs and to this day you still never know one day to the next what you will be quoting or working on.. I found my place.
