Logistic Manager - Heavy Equipment Services
CurrentAs a Logistics / Equipment Manager my role played a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Allgood’s logistic and transportation services. With eight employees, three dump trucks, a rollback truck, two lube tech teams and a utility delivery vehicle to dispatch, my hands- on approach to management facilitated safety and efficiency. This role required a meticulous approach, effective communication, and daily data input and analysis. I managed a heavy equipment fleet of more than one hundred units as well as negotiated for all heavy equipment rentals and transport on an as-needed basis. I was instrumental in enhancing the overall efficiency and accuracy in our construction job billing/accounting procedures, as well as other innovative upgrades to the department. Additionally, I implemented the Samsara driver safety vehicle camera protocol system which over time and through coaching, reduced driver safety violations from 273 during February 2024 down to 7 in July 2024, reducing Allgood's liability exposure to traffic incident claims. Manage and coordinate the movement of over one hundred pieces of equipment and material including tracking shipments and communicating with drivers and field technicians. Responsible for inventory, placement, and maintenance of over $50M in assets Planned and coordinated transportation schedules to meet the field’s needs. Ensuring compliance with State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations, including transportation management and fleet management. Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify area areas for improvement and optimize logistics operations. Collaborating with other departments to ensure logistics operations align with company goals and objectives. Utilized Microsoft Suite primarily Excel and simple web application to optimize transportation routes and ensure timely delivery of material and construction equipment.
