A Construction Manager with over 30 years experience of setting up, consulting for and running a range of commercial and residential construction projects valued between $2M - $100M.Specializing initially in timber frame construction, I spent the first 11 years of my career with Redmoor Timber, progressing from Surveyor to Managing Director. Over the next 15 years I set up and ran my own private construction company managing all aspects of the build process from financing to delivery. In 2004 I undertook a Construction Manager role with a General Contractor and oversaw multiple fixed price and design build construction projects providing strategic management and planning during preconstruction and direct construction management at site level during delivery.I have a good knowledge of all main construction techniques, scheduling and logistics, budget and financial control, health, safety and quality and take responsibility at all times for ensuring the safe, cost effective and efficient delivery of each project. I am comfortable working closely with clients, consultants and site contractors. I pride myself on my communication skills and management of people as well as my ability to see opportunities, make decisions, and hit targets.
