Solutions were delivered from a sizeable Data Warehouse, which acted as the primary source for all production reporting information across Nexen.Operated a steering committee comprised of high-level managers from Operations and IT to identify data analysis opportunities and take action towards delivering solutions in a timely manner.Developed and managed a portfolio of projects (~$1.8MM) to support the analytical needs for Oilsands, Canadian Gas, and other international oil and gas production operations groups.Our group was instrumental in delivering accurate and timely information for the annual well fracturing program, delivering data in hours that historically would have taken a year or more to be available for analysis, allowing for on-the-fly analysis and optimization of the largest daily-spend program at Nexen.Delivered a well-received, operating proof-of-concept project using SAP HANA that demonstrated a very significant potential reduction in the effort required of operations engineers to answer questions about reservoir parameters and wellsite operation.
