Nursing education remains in need of radical transformation because most graduate nurses do not enter practice possessing adequate clinical judgment. Yet educators struggle to eliminate infobesity and make learning active so students can practice clinical decision making. Using my lens of current clinical practice I developed a unique practice-based framework of clinical reasoning that students and educators love because it captures the essence of how a nurse thinks and reasons at the bedside. I integrate this practice-based framework into the unique clinical reasoning case studies I have written that connects academia to clinical practice. This is my passion and life’s work.
