Managing Director of Cusdec Customs Solutions offering advice and support for businesses across all customs areas. My former role with HMRC, and previously HM Customs & Excise, for over 32 years involved working in various aspects customs work, latterly in Customs law and facilitations.I have worked extensively on the introduction of the Union Customs Code (UCC), Customs Special Procedures. I've worked with the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) programme since 2006 having trained HMRC staff and worked with the EU, Brazilian Customs and US Customs & Border Protection with their AEO/CTPAT programmes for which I was awarded the WCO Certificate of Merit . More recently I've worked in Saudi Arabia and the Bahamas advising on Customs modernisation projects. I'm a qualified Security and Safety assessor and I've educated International Trade Associations and businesses in all areas of customs development since 2002.I work closely with regional Chambers of Commerce delivering training and consultancy on Customs matters, including compliance, Special Procedures and AEO from basic advice to full assistance with the application processes.
