Manage and coordinate all aspects of medical, defense, consumer and electronic contract manufacturing programs with fortune 1000 corporations. Typical programs include deep-dive engineering studies to validate proof of concept, often leading to the implementation of scalable manufacturing solutions either internally or externally. Core competencies include clean-room injection molding, two-shot/overmolding, stack molding, multi-component assembly and kitting including ultrasonic bonding, spin-welding, pad-printing, DNA reagent filling, wave-solder, among many other proprietary processes. Managed automotive "pointer" programs from quoting thru SOP+90 days; "pointers" refers to the highly-engineered speedometer/tachometer/fuel etc gages on a car's instrument panel. Responsibilities included coordination of all customer communication related to class-A appearance standards and engineering specifications, production volume projections, inter-departmental design reviews for product and tooling, PPAP completeness, and startup issue resolution.

My time at Nonmetallics started with sorting and inspecting injection molded parts, hand-loading metallic inserts as a machine operator, keeping the hoppers full of material and clearing common alarms. As the company grew we added mold-making to our services, hired an experienced tool-maker and I was taught how to design and build injection molds. As we were a small operation I also was responsible for new tool setups, trial runs, tooling debug and final customer approval. I was fortunate to have this opportunity and to be exposed to the practices involved in making a well-running production tool, from surface grinding, wire and sinker EDM to CAD/CAM, high-speed machining, polishing, fitting, assembly of tools.
