Architect and developer of litigation support autocoding, near duplicate identification, and concept search software.

Provide litigation support technical systems expertise. Supported litigation including multi-million page collections. Created and sold a document search and management web server. Systems included databases of document coding, images, OCR, and transcripts on a variety of platforms. Programmed custom solutions for document search and litigation document management. Accomplishments included standards implementation, simplification of case data organization and automation of various tasks. Supported attorneys during all phases of litigation. Trial support included multiple federal administrative and civil matters. Worked with joint defense groups. Experience with document assembly systems. Management experience at a litigation service bureau and on a Department of Justice contract.

Began as a consultant assisting with productions and creating a web/XML front end to Concordance. Joined technical staff full-time, eventually becoming the manager of information systems. Created electronic file to TIF & text system that eventually became part of 'DUKE.' DUKE represented one of the first in-house EED systems. Also reconfigured the corporate WAN, to include negotiating a more favorable service plan.

Managed Information Systems supporting the Columbia HCA investigations.

Analysis and design of an office automation system for the Drug Enforcement Administration that included remote access, document management, imaging, and database reengineering. This effort included leadership of a team creating a client/server document search and management system. Assisted the DEA in evaluating and procuring computer systems. Requirements analysis and development of technical specifications for Department of Justice procurements. Prototyping of GIS systems and tools for DOJ and commercial healthcare applications. DOJ security clearances with the INS and the DEA.

Evaluated systems for compatibility and RFP compliance, produced technical documentation sections, and managed CLIN tracking. Deployed a Banyan VINES/Token Ring LAN/WAN with twelve sites and over 150 nodes, including a 3270 gateway. Network management including troubleshooting, upgrades, consolidations, advanced utilities, installations, and system administration. Development, conversion, and maintenance in Unix and VMS environments. Systems Engineer Development program course work including system flow design, structure charts, pseudo code and coding. Also assisted on a GSBCA legal appeal.
