With over 30 years in Natural Resources discplines raning from Forestry, Lands Managment, Evironmental, enforcement and direct applications in field data collection and research on forestry. In addition, I facilitate discussions with the Deparment of Fisheries and Oceans on Lake Sturgeon, Asian Carp and the Sea Lamprey programs. I'm currently responsible as the first point of contact when it comes to consulations and aoccomodations regarding Mississauga First Nation, our Traditonal Lands and Industry use and development. My knowledge on consultation and accomodation is exceptionsal with working knowledge of various federal and provincail acts regarding the environment such as the Species at Risk, Federal Fisheries, Migratory Birds, Oil and Gas to name a few. Most importantly, my knowledge of the United Nations Declaration of Rights to Indigenous People assists me when approached about various governments programs and other agencies such as the Canadian Safety Nuclear Commission. My tenure had me implement Mississauga First Nation engagment strategies, circulated MFNs Consultation Policy. I have an understanding of the various provincial acts, regulations and permit process has enabled me to use the tools and my negotiating skills when reviewing federal and provincial permits, acts and regulations . I have the support of our community Elders when seeking advice on activities within our Traditonal Lands and they entrust me to make sound recommendations based on their knowledge of the landscape. Part of negotiating team for Co Managment of Mississagi Provincal Park, negotiate and discuss fisheries opportunities for Mississauga fIrst Nation, Land Code development and implementation of Mississauga First Nation Land Code. In addition, Im involved on Land claims, forest management planning teams, tracking of mining claims and responding to environment firms involving tailngs. Im also involved as a meber of the FSC Aborignal Chamber and knowledgeable of the 9 Guiding Principles.Actively involved on numerous Indigenous Advisory Committees and presently involved with Emergency Services and the federal Emergency Services Multilateral Agreement projects. I did server a short term on ISC Lands, Environment and Economic Development Advisory Committee.Some of my experiences also include community engagement with the Nuclear Waste Managment Organization regarding High Level Nuclear Waste within a Deep Geological Repository within our Traditonal Lands, Transport Canada (Shipping Act), CP Rail (safety ) BHP Uranium Tailings within TLUA
