I am a CAD / PLM administrator with 14 years of experience in CAD and PLM systems. I have worked in both the sales and support side of CAD / PLM, and directly in business functions. I have built a reputation as a problem solver and an advocate for my business partners.Prior to my current role I worked with a software and service provider in SE Wisconsin. There I managed a team of technical experts in software sales, service, and training. I quickly learned the importance of managing both internal and external relationships. This role gave me the opportunity to get an inside look at many different area companies and see the strengths and weaknesses in the way that they ran their business. I believe that this gives me the ability to stand back and look at challenges from many different angles.My current role allows me to manage both the long term technical and day to day service deliveries of several different CAD and PLM systems. I have been the update lead on 4 upgrade projects, two on a global scale updating 750+ PC’s both PLM and CAD at the same time. I am currently leading projects for the upgrade of some systems and the retirement of others. These projects push past the role of administration and into more solution provider. While my job role is primarily in CAD and data management I consider myself a problem solver and solution provider for IT as a whole. I think that listening to people explain how they work is where you find most problems. Typically these are problems that those same users don’t see because they are just too close.
