Aerospace Engineer, Ast, Aerospace Flight Systems
Current• Serving as a Systems Engineer within the Mission Systems Engineering Branch (Code 599) supporting the GOES-R and JPSS projects at Goddard Space Flight Center. Also supporting other projects such as AOS and OSAM-1 at GSFC and NISAR at JPL/ISRO as needed.• Collaborate with scientists and engineers in multidisciplinary teams to develop feasible mission and instrument architecture outlining the baseline approach to the various mission elements: flight, ground, launch vehicle, concept of operations, and instruments• Lead the overall technical team across multiple disciplines, providing direction, gathering information, identifying risks, and making decisions to improve the likelihood of mission success• Manage the technical baseline by establishing and managing requirements and technical resources via generation of documents like the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), Heritage Assessment, Technology Readiness (TRL) Assessment, Mission Concept of Operations (ConOps), Level 1/2 Requirements, etc.• Provide end-to-end systems engineering leadership and support that include requirements and architecture development that spans the entire mission development life cycle from conceptual studies (Pre-Phase A) through on-orbit operations and closeout (Phase F)
