Taking my experience and passing it along to other creative organizations as a volunteer, I was fortunate to lead organizational improvement and employee engagement efforts for this outstanding non profit arts organization in Winter Garden, Florida for 17 years. I was invited to consult with this organization pre-opening to lead the organizational design and development of their operating structure, roles, business objectives and develop a robust volunteer program. I continued to help drive ongoing thought leadership for the Executive Leadership and board in developing strategic direction, philanthropic and business development activities. Designed, led and executed inclusive search processes for executive and leadership roles as well as board development. Consulted on HR practices, compensation, executive recruitment and policies. I contributed as an Executive Board Member & Former President, Board of Directors. The Garden Theatre quickly grew to one of the largest and most prominent arts organizations in the Central Florida area hosting over 600 events, realizing annual attendance of over 70,000 and an operating budget of over $1.7M.
