At present I am a self-employed Specialist in Bespoke Joinery covering work from hand craft specialist joinery and hand crafted Sash and Case windows, wood machine specialist producing architectural mouldings and shaped work such as windows, screens and doors and shop fitting. I have been sub-contracting myself to Carlsson Properties where we have just won the Small Property of the Year, also Sub Contacted to Fit Out UK in the past building new super stores and refused existing first and second fixing new kiosks for Sainsbury’s and Tesco. I currently hole CSCS blue card, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness and Face Fit Mask. I also have over thirty years’ experience working in further education, primarily in the construction sector, at a Technician, Instructor, Lecturer than a Curriculum Management Level Posts. I am highly proficient in the co-ordination of curriculum course delivery within agreed quality frameworks, policies and processes. I have strong client relationship skills with external stakeholders and awarding bodies for trades and school’s qualifications. My advanced experience of the construction industry includes delivery of apprenticeship and school’s pre-employment qualifications, working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people and adults. My main field of experience in lecturing is in Carpentry & Joinery. I am also carrying out voluntary work the first is with a new project called Rebuild I am helping getting the project up and running as a Project Manager converting shipping container into meeting room, workshops or cafeteria, work with disadvantaged adults. The other is with the Edinburgh Tool Library helping set up a new workshop and wood machines, also as an advisor and mentor also working with disadvantaged youngsters and adults. Also helped running specialist short courses for the Princess Trust to get young people into the construction sector.
