Responsible for leading a team of GIS Technicians and designing the FTTH Fibre Network for Airband as we transition from a WISP to a hybrid ISP & ultimately a full fibre ISP. Route planning, HLD, LLD, link loss calculations, using Openreach PIA and new Airband infrastructure. Liaising with Projects teams, deployment/civils teams both internal & external. Analysing survey reports, utilities infrastructure & land registry checks to ascertain best deployment routes. Adding splice closures, drop nodes and applying a two phase splitting principle to extend the OLT port reach in rural areas. Calculating expected E2E loss values to ensure Network has the capability to deliver services to end users. Reviewing change requests, liaison with Planning tool platform provider (VetroFibremap)

Primary responsibilities included maintaining maximum operational performance of the various Networks ensuring continued service provision for 3 million residential and 40000 business customers. Design and implement solutions for all MPF, SMPF, multi-vendor switch devices, content caches & Edge Routers to support Network expansion and new Network rollout with the emphasis on maximizing space, power, fibre connectivity and resiliency.
