About Keith White
In April, I left my job as a Meteorologist at the National Weather Service (NWS) office in New Braunfels, TX serving south-central TX including the Austin and San Antonio metro areas. Previouly, I held the same position at the NWS office in Marquette, MI. Prior to entering federal service, I worked as a Satellite Climate Data Analyst at Remote Sensing Systems, where I managed our support datasets, monitored operational processing of data from a number of satellites, and conducted research. I was also in charge of user experience, by keeping our website up to date, responding to support messages, and building a social media presence for the company. After graduating from UWM in May 2012 with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science, I took a year off to work an additional year as a Staff Meteorologist with Innovative Weather. I then moved to College Station, TX, where I completed an M.S. in Atmospheric Science under the direction of Dr. Courtney Schumacher.

Satellite Climate Data Analyst
Support Scientist working with (mostly) passive microwave sensors, with a few infrared and active MW instruments as well. Currently, I am investigating differences between MW and IR measurements of sea surface temperature. The majority of the work consisted of fielding questions on specific topics or homework problems that students had trouble grasping. We tutored all math classes at UWM from basic high-school algebra to linear algebra and differential equations (Math 090-234).
