As a junior in high school, my Introduction to Accounting teacher had just walked us through the answers to the first balance sheet compilation we had prepared on our own. He advised that if we had completed this project correctly and felt a twinge of excitement that everything balanced then we might just be crazy enough to want to be an accountant. His words stuck with me throughout the rest of that semester and by the end of the course, I had decided I would pursue this career path.In 1993 I entered the workforce as an accountant and am still running strong today. Over the years I had worked in public accounting and manufacturing but it was not until 2000 that I discovered my real professional passion in the real estate industry and I have been there ever since.
