Architecturally trained, specializing in variety of areas such as project management & coordination, architectural design / detailing and digital drafting.I've been in the Architectural consultancy field for about 10 years. Picked up BIM 7 years ago and deep-dived into this area for self-development & personal interest. Completed a Specialist Diploma in BIM and BIM Management certification at BCA Academy in 2018-2019. Promoted to Architectural BIM Manager within my previous company HA Architects, allowing me to put what I've learnt into practice.I am an advocate of continuous learning and like increasing company productivity through introduction of tested workflow which increases efficiency and allows my colleagues to focus in their core architectural curriculum. I also help create and test new workflows, conduct internal software training, solving technical issues while also managing my own building projects.In March 2021, I completed a 4-months full stack developer bootcamp, and did short internship at NTT Limited from July 2021 till September 2021-involved in developing an internal document control platform for a construction industry client, which is closely tied to an aspect of building information modelling (BIM). The motivation for learning full stack development is to understand development logic as my BIM management role in my previous job have introduced me to visual scripting (Dynamo). BIM is essentially a transfer of data and I've also observed a trend in which technology converges with disciplines from various industries within the construction field and is slowly shifting towards a web-based model. As the construction field is going through a continuous digital shift in the next decade, I intend to expand my capabilities to cover a developer role contributing to the construction tech industry.Since September 2021, I've been a part of the BCA Corenet X development group within GovTech involved in setting a framework for BIM Submission via the OpenBIM data format (IFC), in which I was able to leverage on my experience in BIM engineering and understanding of the local authority code of practice to contribute to the development. I was involved in testing the export of components using native BIM authoring tools and also mapping out the local code to structured data. I'm familiar with presentations and regular meeting with intra-agency / external stakeholders regarding IFC matter and handling their queries.Besides my day job, self development, entrepreneurship, social networking and sports like tennis and cycling is also my interest.
