I am a sales engineer, and my territory is the Shenandoah Valley, from Winchester to Bristol, east of the Blue Ridge Parkway and west to the WV line. Our company represents manufacturers of commercial and industrial heating, cooling, dehumidifying and process equipment. We consult with Mechanical Engineering firms and owners, and sell to large mechanical contracting firms in Virginia.

I was the Commercial Specialist for our company. We were the distributor for York's residential and light commercial (up to 50 tons) air conditioning and furnace products.

I was a project manager for the Mechanical Department, where I managed the HVAC and Plumbing Contracts that were assigned to me. I was responsible for directing all field labor, andsubcontracts, purchasing and recieving all equipment and material, and coordinating the installation of these components. I was responsible for all financial aspects of the contract along with reporting the profitability of the contract to the company's upper management. My specialty was strip shopping center tenant upfits and warehouse HVAC systems, which often included design/build engineering and estimating the costs of new tenants. This included many restaurants, hair salons and dentist offices.
