Keith B. Johnson is an accomplished Criminal Defense and Personal Injury Attorney based in Augusta, Georgia, with a passion for serving his clients and the community.He has been named one of the Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys in the United States by the National Trial Lawyers Association and selected to the Super Lawyers 2017-2022 Georgia Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Additionally, Keith has been recognized for his work in juvenile law and was appointed by the Judges of the Augusta Judicial Circuit to serve as an associate Juvenile Court Judge for the Augusta Judicial Circuit at the young age of 30.While Keith has an impressive track record in criminal defense, he has recently expanded his practice to include personal injury law. Personal injury cases can involve representing clients who have been injured or harmed due to the negligence or intentional actions of another person or entity. Keith has taken additional courses and training to gain expertise in personal injury law and procedures, and is now applying his vast legal knowledge to help those who have been injured through no fault of their own. He has built a strong reputation in the legal community for his litigation skills, having litigated numerous felony jury trials and obtained multiple life sentences for violent offenders. In addition to his work as an attorney, Keith is a dedicated member of his community. He was the first black male appointed president of the Augusta Bar Association, which was founded in 1895. He earned a football scholarship to Furman University in 2001 where he played cornerback on two Southern Conference Championship teams in 2001 and 2004, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2005. In 2008, he was awarded a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University, where he served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the Michigan State Journal of Gender Law and received the Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Law.
