I visualized and am developing a cybersecurity risk management framework that is oriented towards users in the developing world who, due to discrimination (gender, race, income, etc.), would not otherwise have access to digital financial services. This ecosystem contains varying levels of cybersecurity hygiene to provide a set of actionable processes that instruct users on how to protect themselves and respond to/recover from an incident, regardless of their cybersecurity maturity.• To build this distinct intellectual property component, I applied industry standards (e.g. FFIEC Cyber Assessment Tool; NIST and ISO control frameworks) to serve as the foundation. • I’ve established relationships with key leaders of international organizations (e.g. The World Bank, Consultative Group to Assist the Poor [CGAP], Indonesian Fintech Association and Central Bank of Jordan), and developed a network of experts who provide me with the legal and real-life data required to successfully develop and implement this framework.

I led and restructured an approximately 200-person team and budget of roughly 90 million CAD during a two-year business transformation driven by New York/Toronto. During this time, I worked in close partnership with the head of global wholesale operations to modernize the back and middle office technology stack. We implemented new project delivery practices (Agile, DevOps), which significantly enhanced the efficiency and velocity of the technology and business processes.• This project increased our productivity and delivery by 50% while significantly decreasing defects. • We delivered innovative technology and processes that measurably improved business automation. For example, there was an increase of Straight Through Processing (STP) of more than 10%.• Successful implementations included: central confirmations processing hub, common settlement workflow engine, automation of US security settlements operations, new collateral margining system, new common reconciliation platform and KPI reporting platform.• I designed and rolled-out Agile training, as well as mentoring and coaching programs for employees in both the technology and business departments.

The installation was fully operational on day one.
