I’ve been a student of the auto industry my entire life, and even in high school I knew it was where I wanted to spend my career. I consider it a privilege to have been able to live that childhood dream, working in the automotive journalism and communications fields for more than 25 years. I’ve met amazing people, traveled to exotic locales, and experienced things I never would have been able to otherwise, and on top of it all I’ve driven, photographed, and written about some of the most amazing machines humankind has ever put on the road. My career has spanned multiple publications and media types, from my enthusiast beginnings at Sport Compact Car magazine, to writing reviews for mainstream new-vehicle sites such as KBB.com, and everything in between. Most recently I’ve explored the corporate side of the industry in the form of public relations, which has given me tremendous insight into the inner workings of the messaging, coordination, and strategies behind new-vehicle introductions and sustaining media interest. Throughout it all, I’ve maintained my enthusiasm for the industry itself, and how could I not, when it’s more fascinating than ever before? We are at an inflection point in automotive history, a transition from gasoline to electric, from drivers to driverless, from owning to sharing, that nobody could have foreseen even just a few short decades ago. Now more than ever, it's critical for consumers to have access to clear, compelling, and accurate content that doesn't just help guide their decision making, but is also fun to read.I look forward to continuing my career in this exciting field, and I’m always looking for new ways to grow my deep background in automotive journalism, team leadership, product knowledge, and to continue making friends in this sometimes crazy, always satisfying profession.
