Responsible for system testing on Tellabs 1000 and 1150 Multiservice Access Platform which includes GPON, VoIP, IPTV, xDSL, DS1 and POTS. Using product requirements documentation I developed test plans and test cases in HP QualityCenter then executed the test plans and documented issues in our tracking system. I tested end–to-end functionality and stability of our product using Spirent TestCenter, Adtech and Ixia for generating packets flows, Shenick DiversifEye for generating multicast data to test our IPTV features and Abacus bulk call generator for testing our POTS and VoIP features. I also assisted with reproducing and troubleshooting customer field issues as well as hardware rework on our prototype cards.

Responsible for network support in the R&D hardware engineering lab which included cabling, installing and configuring the private LAN network. My duties also involved designing test network layouts using Visio, building the systems along with setting up support fixtures such as switches and configuring all VLANs. These networks were used to test Tellabs Access communication equipment which included DSL, GPON, VOIP and IPTV. I tested functionality and stability of the systems by using packet generators such as Spirent TestCenter and Adtech, then documenting and reporting my findings to management via Rational ClearQuest. I did compliance testing as well which included assisting with NEBS GR-1089 informal/formal testing, basic soldering, reading schematics, and managing resources and schedules to meet deadlines. I Assisted with customer trouble tickets as needed.

Responsible for on site and remote IT support of several small business clients. I did technical support on servers, networks (WAN/LAN/WLAN), PCs, printers, laptops and PDAs. I documented client's infrastructure and created office layouts in Visio. I preformed health checks, evaluations and regular maintenance. I supported Microsoft Server and Windows XP as well as Small Business Server, Exchange and Active Directory. I cabled networks as needed.

On-site technical server and desktop support for small businesses. I installed, configured and supported Microsoft Server and Windows XP operating systems as well as Small Business Server and MS Exchange. Implemented and supported backup and antivirus software.

Responsible for system integration testing of Marconi Data Access equipment. This included testing a system end-to-end then documenting and reporting any problems. I used packet generators such as Adtech and SmartBits for testing. I provided computer and networking tech support for our Research and Development Hardware Engineering department.I traveled extensively, including international, for tradeshows to set up equipment for demonstrations, and to customer site for troubleshooting problems.I also designed a network for engineering demonstrations and testing of Marconi equipment, including setup of web servers, routers, switches and client computers. I created web pages that were used at trade shows to demonstrate Marconi equipment.

Onsite lead technician providing desktop hardware/software support to over 600 users running Windows 95 on a Novell and NT network. I installed, upgraded and maintained desktops, laptops, local and networked printers. Supervised two other technicians.

Responsible for building, upgrading and supporting desktop computers for all hardware and software issues, including all printers and print servers. I also setup and configured laptops for remote users. This was a Windows NT and Novell network with over 2000 users.
