Moving through consulting and my early management roles I learned the value of the people I was working with and the ability to help them perform above their expectations.Management consulting exposed me to business leaders and executives across multiple industries, helping me to understand business from a different perspective. Additionally this gave me the experience of working with external customers, developing solutions, building my own teams, and growing my leadership and management skills.A tempting offer brought me to Mass General in Boston where I have been directly involved in all facets of IT, including system management, user support, device management, networking/servers, new building construction, vendor management, and mergers and acquisitions.Establishing governance and technology rationalization processes to reduce complexity, optimize IT infrastructure and build consensus with leadership is critical in today's challenging environment. Knowing how and when to say “no” or “not now” is crucial to building organizational trust and ensuring transparency with stakeholders.I am particularly focused on optimizing existing resources to maximize return on investment.
