I am a molecular microbiologist with experience in bacterial genetics, genomic epidemiology, and computational biology. I am interested in the implementation of whole genome sequencing and bioinformatic approaches to improve our understanding of bacterial genomics, with the main goal of applying this knowledge to the surveillance, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious disease. I have experience with both wet-lab and computational techniques, particularly in relation to Illumina and Nanopore sequencing data. I use both lab and computational approaches in combination to take a functional approach to genomics. My main areas of expertise include whole genome sequencing and de novo genome assembly, enteric pathogens, and biofilm formation.
Listed skills include Rnaseq, Small Animal Models, Bioinformatics, Molecular Cloning, and 14 others.
