I supervised and assisted in (1) developing a high-fidelity forward-facing MATLAB/Simulink model of a hydrogen fuel cell power generation system for a 2-week air mission to 70,000 feet, (2) using that model to optimize 11 independent variables to determine the minimum system weight for the notional mission, (3) conducting a sensitivity analysis of the optimum baseline model and (4) preparing, releasing and supporting installation issues with the fuel cell modeling package for NASA and the US Air Force.• Drove technology cost reductions through identifying operational efficiencies in manufacturing, advanced engineering solutions, value engineering and other cost reduction efforts.• Recognized by colleagues as a ‘go-to’ person to solve challenging issues, including modeling, design, metallurgical, electrochemical, and chemical/corrosion challenges.• Considered a technology and policy ‘thought leader’ amongst colleagues.
