COLLABORATION - helping teams and organisations improve their collaboration abilities to reduce risks (surfacing views and information that would otherwise hurt) or improve outputs and output quality (doing the right thing, right), inside and outside the normal boundaries. Client examples - South American bank improving it's host country's ability to carry out major projects across the country and a high tech company working better internally and with suppliers/customers. ORGANISATIONAL INNOVATION - helping organisations complete the cycle of Strategic Planning, Change Management, Goal-setting, Project selection/execution. This often includes setting up programmes to carry out stretch projects, typically beyond existing project management structures - the Innovation PMO beside the PMO. Client Example - helping an Irish semi-state implement a solution centre approach to executing high-value innovation projects in a 15 week window, from idea gathering through concept testing to final results.TEAM INNOVATION - Bringing Design Thinking & Project Management skills to multiple sectors, including Medical Devices, Semi-State organisations, Financial Services, Software, Pharmaceutical, High Volume Manufacturing. This is done through project support, especially for risky/more important projects, and training.PROJECT/PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT - specialist in using Design Thinking to help teams build better (more thought out, well-rounded) solutions that take account of stakeholders needs/worries, producing more aligned solutions that have a higher impact for the business.LECTURER in Project Management, Design Thinking & Change Management: sample courses include 1. UCD Engineering: Creativity in Design, Innovation Team Leadership. Two semester-long courses for 330 undergrads and 45 post-grads that teach how to manage, and participate in, multi-disciplinary teams2. Innovate Dublin Youth Academy Programme: ID is a NFP where I run a programme in Design Thinking and Project Management skills for 18-20 year olds in disadvantaged areas.3. Atlantic Technology University: Applied Innovation Module taught as part of two Masters Innovation Programmes, 1 each in Public and Private Sector.4. Engineers Ireland : Course on Design Thinking in Engineering Projects for engineers who wish to improve their project solutions.
