The great-grandson of Russian vaudevillians, KEITH GERCHAK grew up in Cleveland, OH, and went on to study acting while earning a Master’s Degree in Architecture at Tulane University and the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK, traveling extensively throughout Europe. Returning to Cleveland, he co-founded a small resident professional theatre company while working as a registered architect, eventually moving to NYC as a respected designer of performing arts centers, working with globally-recognized architecture firms and acousticians on high profile projects around the world, with budgets up to $100 million. He also became a contributing writer to two books and over a dozen magazine articles on the art of theatre design from the performer’s perspective. In NYC, Keith expanded his theatre background to include over 50 stage credits, from Motel the tailor in Fiddler on the Roof - opposite Paul Sorvino - to Marlin the father in Disney's Finding Nemo the Musical, which found him singing high B-flats while doing aerial somersaults with a puppet in his hands. He starred off-Broadway in the original musical comedy The Road to Qatar (cast recording, Jay Records). Trained in improv at The Pit in NYC, and The Groundlings and UCB in LA, Keith's on-camera work ranges from ABC’s The Middle to the Zac Efron feature The Derby Stallion. He most recently voiced "The Outsider" in the sequel to Best Video Game of 2012, Dishonored. His appearance on The Onion News Network has the rare distinction of being included in the PBS series Make 'Em Laugh, a documentary on the history of comedy that found Keith sandwiched between Mae West and Family Guy. With Marisa Guterman, Keith creates original content as Co-Founder of Double G Films, a TV and film production company based in Los Angeles. Together the filmmakers have directed, written and produced the ensemble feature film LOST & FOUND IN CLEVELAND, now completed and starring Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, Liza Weil, Stacy Keach, June Squibb, Santino Fontana, Esther Povitsky, Loretta Devine, Jon Lovitz, Jeff Hiller, Rory O'Malley, Dot-Marie Jones, Rob Mayes, Vanessa Burghardt, and Mark L. Walberg. Their creative team includes Cinematographer Davon Slininger (La La Land), Editor Tricia Holmes (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), and Composer Sven Faulconer (The Elephant Whisperers), with a score recorded by the musicians of La La Land and John Williams' films.Double G Films is in development on multiple TV and film projects with other production companies.
