I have spent a lot of time working directly as a varsity basketball coach. I enjoy cultivating meaningful connections among the students whom I serve daily. Being not to far removed from the groups of students I work with, I understand how important it is to give back and water those in the community that I grew up in. I am able to lead by example using my direct care background as leverage to work with individuals from all walks of life. Understanding that not everyone was dealt the same hand, helps me lead my day to day life with empathy.
